I'm asking for a friend- anyone here need to go before CARB before getting promoted to Sgt? Did the powers that be wait until your list # came up before you were notified for and attended CARB or did you go before your # was reached? I'm wondering if my friend will definitely be passed over or is there a possibility that he may go to CARB in time and get cleared to get made when his # is up. Any insight?
I don't think anything is set in stone, but the few I knew who went in front of carb got skipped but were in the next class. It was for BS btw. If it's something serious obviously it'll be a lot longer.
