So, I read 10 people are already promoted of the 2006 list. So in actuality it's 651. As well all know you can always believe what you read. The first promotion off of the 2006 list was April 30 2008. They reached list number 651 in December of 2011. This of course was during the worst recession we have seen since the great depression. I would like to believe this list will move much quicker. Big classes from late 80s to early 90s are ready to hit the door. No doubt in my mind everyone on list will get made.
I think the consensus is 3 years maybe even a little over. You are right. There are some huge classes set to retire. Everyone won't retire but a huge chunk will and with captain promotions there will be smooth sailing.
Thanks, what's your guys predictions on list movement? I know it's impossible to say, but let's get some discussion going on. Will 35-40 person classes be the norm? Or is that unrealistic.
I would say 200 to 220 a year . 3 years the list should be done. The 06 list averaged 188 a year and that was during the great recession. There will be a lot more retirements this time around. Remember the 03 list, they went through 1100 in 4 years.

I posted it on rs. My buddy who works in the pco, has a lot of down time to figure this stuff out. However he never gave me names or where they are on the list. Im in the upper 400's, so i figured he told me this because the ten were below me.
thats what I like to hear!!! definatley alot more optimism after the release of this list, than 2006. Right off the bat, they were saying the list will be killed.
