How will they conduct the background checks without the list?

That lawsuit is going nowhere and the city knows it. That won't keep them from releasing the list next week.

They have done it in the past, I believe they promoted the first class of 2008 sgts before they made list public.

I can't wait to see the new focus after next week. How many this month, where is the cheapest place to pick up a white shirt, how do I spell lieutenant.... This is gonna be great.

whatever nonsense may come it will be a welcomed change from the wednesday rumors. Speaking of which, anyone know why the obsession with Wed? I know for a fact that prior lists have come out on other days.

Here are some of my predicted topics starting the day after the list comes out:

1- "Will everyone get made off this list"

2- "Will grimy 19 re-filing lawsuit hold up promotions?"

3- "They didn't add my medal/FIT/veteran/seniority points, what do I do?"

4- "My list number is (insert number); when will I get made?"

5- "Will there be a (insert month) BMOC?"

6- "Guys in current BMOC- don't forget to keep us informed."

7- "Guy I know only needed 3 points to make list and didn't get them."

8- "Guy I know needed 16 points and got them."

That should keep the board busy for a couple of weeks.

Although I will be constantly checking tomorrow, my contact indicated "as soon as possible" rather than a concrete date. So, my heart will not be too broken if it does not come down tomorrow. Those claiming "tomorrow" have seemed knowledgeable about these things. I do not know the internal steps to release the list.
