Checked numbers again today because I knew a lot were coming off terminal the 31st, we are now down 29 lieut w 32 on terminal, that with a captains class on the horizon. Big numbers, i dont think the vacancy numbers have been this big since last summer.

That's an easy 77 names by summer if you include those captains. We may have a few down months but things will even out with the openings and bigger classes. The list will move fairly quick as the powers that be expected from the beginning.

Someone on the rising star site said that there is about 580 sergeants set to retire or eligible to retire this upcoming summer with this big wave of expected retirements. Is there any way to find out the number of lieutenants eligible ?

Not sure if she was exaggerating or not but i happened to see brats post saying half the lieut rank is eligible to retire. Sorry for doubting that 50 number liften, just seemed so unlikely. Keep the good info coming.

I thought it was bullshyt at first too. Nothing surprises me anymore with EXAM # 1534. Also trying to get any intel on this list is close to impossible.

Hey h-auto. I know as of today there are exactly 34 Lt's on terminal and 1722 active Lt's. What is the minimum number of Lt's that the dept should have? Thanks

Depends on when the lts on terminal come off. I don't have access to that.

Someone posted on RS that OMAP is calling for 225 LTs by year end because so many expected retirements. Good news if its true, lets take it for what it's worth

These are a breakdown of the 36 Lt's on terminal and when they are due to retire (not sure why March is not gone yet)

March - 1

April- 3

May- 8

June- 3

July- 4

August- 7

September- 3

October- 1

November- 1

December- 2

2014- 3

So by these numbers we can rule out a may class and possibly even June.

Got these # from a Department program. These are just people who are on terminal now and are on leave. Many people waive terminal and just retire. The numbers Omap is working off is the large classes that are coming up on 20 in the next few months.

203 was last to be called. 4 passovers cleared. Several more passovers not sure all of the reasons.

I'm hearing that everyone on the list will be promoted by end of next year or very early in 2015. This list will not last long. That is the last I heard from a friend in omap but like all things it can change but that is what it is looking like for now.

+4 and 37. Ill check again later in the afternoon. They usually update after the weekend around 4ish. my buddy in bmoc said lt. Ng is hearing another 50. Seems unlikely but we'll see.
