Vacancies are broken down into just-normal lieutenants (no, LDS/LSA) and considering LSA & LDS vacancies. I don't know what figure is looked at to determine a need for a class.

Considering all lieutenants (and discretionary ranks), we were down 9 with 45 on terminal a few weeks ago. Ignoring discretionary vacancies we were up. I forget the #'s.

Can someone try to get the vacancy/terminal numbers after the 12 Lt's get promoted to Captain tomorrow? I tried calling puzzle palace but was shot down.

The 1733 includes LCD n Lsa I do not know the break down with them, other than for terminal. Ike has good info so I don't doubt him.

We are budgeted for 1753 lieutenants. Don't have uP to date #'s.

I think the vacancies/terminal numbers will give us a better indication of when they'll need to promote and therefore a better estimation of the release date. My gut feeling is that if we are currently negative on the Lt rank with 30 something on terminal (coming off terminal July 1st) that it is highly possible they will need to promote the first class in June along with the June BMOC class expected to go in (assuming no July promotions like many predict). I highly doubt the department will not promote new Lt's until late August.

That will be approximately 5 months without any promotions if that were to occur. Obviously this is all speculation from my part.

Makes sense. With two Sgt's BMOC's in a row, I would guess July would be an off month. I could see a June LT's promotion, so hopefully a list within 2 weeks.

I know people have brought up the issue of budget allocation to refute a June Lts promotion. I wonder if the bmoc class going in June 4th will get promoted in June or the first week of July. If July then there shouldn't be any budgetary issues since it will be a new fiscal year.

1733 lieuts currently, Ike says we are budgeted for 1753, there are 48 lieuts on terminal leave, 12 of them are LCD/LSA

-20 is much different than what people have been posting. If it's accurate, I would say a June BMOC is a good chance.

Definitely especially with 36 on terminal that come off it on July 1st. Even if half of them pull their papers youre talking about -38 which makes August promotions a little farfetch.

I can't confirm the 1753, I can however confirm that yesterday the lt rank was listed at 1745, today it's 1733.

Not really- I gave a -9 10 days ago for all lt's.

Don't forget about the guys waiving their terminal and will just come off the books on 7/1. We don't know how many of them there are .

The vacancy numbers seem to be growing. Does anyone NOT think they will promote at the end of the month/beginning of July? I'm really starting to believe this thing will be out in the next two weeks.

My buddy just informed me that someone he knows got notified by Education Tracking Unit to update his transcript, he scored a 65 before throw outs.

I am pretty sure the budget for lieutenants is 1753. There were 1731 yesterday. As to when they
come off terminal varies for each and everyone of them.

Ike stated the list isn't coming out this week. That makes the June 29th promotion rumors more unlikely. They usually notify a week before promotions to take ID photos and you need at least a week or so to conduct background/educational checks. What's mind boggling is that we are currenly -22 lts with 46 on terminal coming off July 1st. That's a lot of vacancies considering that if there are no June promotions the next one would be late August. That's approximately 5 months without any lt promotions (last one took place on March 30th).

What is this hang up with taking photos for ID cards? I took a picture the day I got promoted. If they hire 20-30 Lt.s then they could do those pictures in one day.
